1. Who is responsible for your data
FloorballStats is operated by Jan Němec.
For personal data relating to website visitors, business contacts, customer accounts, contractual relationships and the operation of the FloorballStats service, the data controller is:
Data entered by teams and organizations
FloorballStats is designed for teams, clubs, coaches, analysts and other authorized staff.
Where a customer organization enters player, roster, match, event, lineup, note or similar team-related information into FloorballStats, that organization generally determines why that information is processed and which information is entered into the service.
In those circumstances, FloorballStats processes the information to provide the service to the customer organization and acts as a service provider or processor to the extent required by applicable data-protection law.
Customer organizations are responsible for ensuring that they have an appropriate legal basis and authorization for any personal data they enter into FloorballStats, particularly where information relates to players under the age of 18.
2. What personal data we collect
The information we process depends on how you interact with FloorballStats.
Website visitors
When you visit floorballstats.com, we may process:
Full name, work email, role, team or organization, selected area of interest and any information you add to an optional message field.
Emails, meeting notes and other communications when you contact us or discuss a possible service, cooperation or customer relationship.
Page views, visited URLs, referral source, interactions, approximate location, language, browser, device and technical identifiers used by Google Analytics 4. Website analytics is not loaded when you reject analytics or have not yet made a choice.
Technical request and security information processed when the website is delivered, which may include IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, requested resources and technical logs required for security and troubleshooting.
Your website analytics choice may be stored locally in your browser, including through the local-storage key fs-analytics-consent.
3. FloorballStats account and application data
When you use the FloorballStats platform or iPad application, we may process information necessary to authenticate you, provide access to your organization and operate the service.
This may include:
Account information
- email address;
- account and authentication information;
- organization and membership information;
- access permissions and account role;
- authentication/session information.
Passwords are not stored in readable form.
Service and usage information
We may process technical information required to operate the platform, including:
- active session information;
- service usage information;
- feature or product interaction information;
- timestamps;
- information needed to enforce account or usage limits;
- technical information required for security, troubleshooting and reliable service operation.
We do not use this information for third-party advertising or cross-service advertising tracking.
4. Team, player and match data
Authorized users may enter information relating to their team, players and matches.
Depending on how a customer chooses to use FloorballStats, this may include:
- player names or roster identifiers;
- jersey numbers;
- playing positions;
- goalkeeper status;
- age or birth-related information;
- stick side;
- height or weight where entered;
- squad and lineup information;
- match details;
- opponent information;
- match dates and venues;
- event and performance data;
- shooting locations;
- goals, assists, shots and other statistical events;
- penalties;
- player time information;
- ratings and derived statistics;
- tactical or lineup information;
- match or coaching notes;
- tags and other user-entered information.
FloorballStats does not require customers to enter more personal information than is necessary for their intended use of the service.
Customer organizations should avoid entering sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary and they have an appropriate legal basis to do so.
5. Reports, analytics and exports
FloorballStats processes team, player and match information to generate analytics, statistics and reports requested by authorized users.
This may include:
- match analytics;
- player analytics;
- lineup analysis;
- shooting and spatial analysis;
- performance metrics;
- match reports;
- player reports;
- CSV, DOCX, ZIP or PDF exports.
Generated files are created for the user or organization requesting them.
iPad sharing
In the FloorballStats iPad application, exported files may temporarily be written to the application's private cache so that the standard iOS/iPadOS Share Sheet can be used.
This allows users to choose actions such as:
- Save to Files;
- AirDrop;
- Mail;
- Messages;
- compatible third-party applications;
- printing, where supported.
Temporary export files are stored in the application's private cache and are not intentionally made publicly accessible. FloorballStats may automatically remove older temporary export files during later export activity.
Once a user chooses to share a file with another application or service, that recipient's own privacy practices apply.
6. Authentication and local device storage
The iPad application uses native device storage for information required to maintain secure authentication.
Sensitive authentication credentials such as refresh tokens are stored using secure operating-system storage mechanisms where supported.
Access credentials are used only to authenticate the user and maintain access to the FloorballStats service.
FloorballStats does not use authentication information for advertising purposes.
7. Information we do not collect through the app
The FloorballStats iPad application does not currently request access to:
- precise or coarse device location;
- contacts;
- camera;
- microphone;
- photo library;
- HealthKit or health records;
- motion or fitness sensors;
- advertising identifiers.
The application does not contain third-party advertising and does not use personal information for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.
If these capabilities change in the future, this Privacy Policy and the relevant platform privacy disclosures will be updated.
8. Why we use personal data
We process personal data only where there is an appropriate purpose and legal basis.
We process account, organization, match and application data to authenticate users, provide access to the correct organization, store and retrieve customer data, provide match tracking, calculate statistics and analytics, generate reports and exports, maintain customer settings and provide functionality requested by the customer. The applicable legal basis may include performance of a contract, steps taken in connection with a contract and our legitimate interest in operating the FloorballStats service.
Where team or player information is processed on behalf of a customer organization, processing is performed to provide the contracted FloorballStats service. The customer organization is responsible for determining the appropriate legal basis for its use of personal information entered into the platform.
We use submitted contact information to answer enquiries, arrange demonstrations and take requested steps before entering into a possible contract. The legal basis may be pre-contractual steps and our legitimate interest in handling legitimate business enquiries.
We use website analytics to understand how visitors use the public website and to improve the website. Analytics is based on consent and remains disabled until the visitor chooses to accept analytics. Consent can be withdrawn through Cookie settings.
We process technical and usage information to protect accounts and systems, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, maintain reliable service operation, enforce service limits and investigate security incidents. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable service and, where applicable, performance of our contractual obligations.
We process customer and contractual information for account administration, customer support, billing, contractual records, accounting and legal compliance. The applicable legal bases include performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations.
We send promotional communications only where a valid legal basis exists. Where consent is required, it may be withdrawn at any time.
9. Service providers and infrastructure
We use service providers to operate the website and FloorballStats platform.
Depending on the part of the service used, providers may include:
Used for website hosting, content delivery, deployment and website form handling.
Used only for optional analytics on the public website after consent. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization are disabled in the current configuration.
Used for business email and communications.
May be used in connection with website form spam prevention.
FloorballStats uses cloud infrastructure to host the application backend, databases and supporting services. These providers may process technical requests, account information and customer data only as required to provide infrastructure and service functionality.
Apple provides distribution infrastructure for the FloorballStats iPad application through the App Store and TestFlight. Apple may process information independently in connection with App Store accounts, downloads, TestFlight and device services according to Apple's own privacy policies.
10. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area.
Where required by law, international transfers are protected through an applicable mechanism such as:
- an adequacy decision;
- standard contractual clauses;
- another legally recognized transfer mechanism;
- appropriate contractual and organizational safeguards.
We do not sell personal data.
11. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information with advertising networks or data brokers.
Information may be shared only where necessary with:
- service providers acting on our behalf;
- the relevant customer organization and its authorized users;
- professional advisers where necessary;
- authorities where disclosure is legally required;
- another entity in connection with a legitimate corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.
Customer organizations control which authorized users within their organization can access their FloorballStats information.
12. How long we keep data
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Demo requests and related correspondence that do not become a customer relationship are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction.
Account, organization, match, player and analytics data may be retained while the customer relationship remains active. Following termination or deletion of an account, information may be retained for a limited period where necessary for account recovery, contractual obligations, dispute resolution, security, backups or legal obligations. Customer deletion arrangements may also depend on the applicable customer agreement.
Customer, contractual, invoicing and accounting information is retained for the periods required by applicable tax, accounting and other legal requirements.
Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured in the relevant GA4 property. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer than user-level event data.
Analytics cookies may remain for up to approximately two years unless removed earlier or affected by browser settings.
The website analytics-consent preference remains until it is changed through Cookie settings or local browser storage is cleared.
Temporary files created by the iPad application for native sharing are stored in private application cache and may be removed automatically, including during later export activity.
Technical logs are retained only for periods reasonably necessary for service delivery, security, troubleshooting and provider operations.
Retention periods may be shortened or extended where required by law, contractual obligations, a dispute, documented security requirements or backup processes.
13. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive applicable information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Data controlled by your organization
If your personal information was entered into FloorballStats by a club, team, employer or other organization, that organization may be the controller responsible for the information.
In those cases, we may direct your request to the relevant organization or assist the organization in responding to the request.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
For a Czech controller, the relevant authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů).
14. Security
We use proportionate technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
Measures may include:
- encrypted network communication;
- access controls;
- authenticated accounts;
- role- or organization-based permissions;
- secure credential storage;
- server and infrastructure security controls;
- backups and operational monitoring.
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Users should protect their account credentials and notify us if they believe their account has been compromised.
15. Children and player data
FloorballStats is designed for use by teams, clubs, coaches, analysts and other authorized staff. It is not designed as a social platform or consumer service directed at children.
Customer organizations may use the service to manage information relating to youth teams or players under the age of 18.
In those circumstances, the customer organization is responsible for ensuring that:
- it is authorized to process and upload the information;
- an appropriate legal basis exists;
- required information or notices are provided;
- parental or guardian involvement is obtained where legally required;
- access is limited to appropriate authorized users.
FloorballStats should not be used to store unnecessary sensitive information about minors.
16. Automated statistics and analytics
FloorballStats automatically calculates statistical and analytical outputs from data entered by users.
Examples include:
- team statistics;
- player statistics;
- shooting analytics;
- lineup metrics;
- ratings;
- derived performance indicators;
- automated report summaries.
These calculations are designed to support sporting analysis and coaching decisions.
They are not automated legal, employment, medical or similarly significant decisions about individuals.
17. Cookies and website analytics
The public website uses cookies or similar browser technologies as described in the separate Cookie Policy.
Optional analytics technologies are not activated until the visitor provides consent where required.
The FloorballStats iPad application does not rely on the public website's cookie consent mechanism for native application functionality.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when:
- FloorballStats functionality changes;
- new platforms or applications are introduced;
- service providers change;
- privacy practices change;
- applicable legal requirements change.
The current version and its effective date will always be published on this page.
